expression of interest: story island project board
Story Island is seeking expressions of interest (EOI) from enthusiastic, experienced and skilled individuals interested in joining our voluntary Board of Directors.
We would particularly welcome applications from people who have experience in leading organisational growth as a Board member, and developing social policies and strategies within the arts sector.
Story Island values diversity and inclusion; we welcome expressions of interest from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people from culturally diverse backgrounds, people who identify as LGBTI and people with disability.
The Story Island Project Board is a skills-based board. To grow with our organisation, the Board would like to build the capacity and sustainability of our governance by adding up to four additional members to the current Board of eight.
About our Board
Story Island’s Board is responsible for the governance of the organisation and overseeing its management, including the allocation of resources. They ensure the aims of the organisation are carried out in accordance with the strategic plan, and legal and funding requirements. Click on the following links to find out more about the organisation (including our Constitution, annual reports and current strategic plan) and our current Board.
Positions on the Story Island Board are three-year terms. The Board meets in person six times a year, plus occasional additional duties (including participation in strategic planning, sub-committees/working groups, out-of-session discussions/decision making).
